Lancaster, Pa. – Godfrey, a nationally ranked business-to-business marketing communications agency based in Lancaster, Pa., has won a 2012 BtoB’s Best Award from BtoB Magazine for its branded app “nora® Flooring on the Go” on behalf of commercial rubber flooring manufacturer nora systems, Inc.
As BtoB Magazine states, “Branded apps shouldn't replicate the traditional product catalog—they should one-up it, providing an interactive experience that hard copy can't. nora systems' app for its commercial flooring line does just that, allowing the company's audience of architects and interior designers to explore content tailored to various stages of the buying process…It's eye-catching yet ultimately practical, as every b2b marketing piece should be.”
The app includes architectural photography featuring nora flooring from around the world, along with accurate color swatches and information on functional properties such as acoustics, slip resistance, compressive strength and static resistance. It also provides overviews of the installation and maintenance processes to help architects and designers make informed decisions. In addition, the digital tool can stand alone or link to the nora website for viewing videos, ordering samples, writing specs or contacting a representative.
“We wanted to inspire architects and interior designers visually while helping them find flooring solutions quickly,” said Tom Ballew, creative director at Godfrey. “The average commercial flooring timeline is two years from concept to completion. During this time, architects and interior designers often spend hours away from their desks, so they need an untethered resource for client meetings or on jobsites where Wi-Fi access is not available. Our objective was to provide an easy-to-use iPad® app for every stage of a project – from discovery through implementation.”
The Best Awards is BtoB Magazine’s annual awards program for creative advertising. The project team for the “nora® Flooring on the Go” app included: Lynne DeMers-Hunt, account supervisor; Wes Reminder, project manager; Brian Wanger and David Ali, software developers; Mark Stoner, Dave Bossler and Donna Lindsey, art directors; Brad Allen and Ed Berilla, imaging; Jenn Vitello, content manager; Jennifer Brown, user experience; Tom Ballew, creative director.
