Godfrey Wins National Pro-Comm Award
Godfrey develops marketing plan for client and wins awards for creativity
June 12, 2007 Godfrey, a nationally ranked business-to-business marketing communications agency, has won a 2007 Pro-Comm Marketing Award from the Business Marketing Association (BMA) for an integrated marketing communications program it created and executed for client nora® rubber flooring, Lawrence, MA. Godfrey earned the Best of Division award in the Corporate/Brand/Integrated category for Division 2: Total Communications Program over $200,000 - widely considered the most prestigious award in the annual competition. The "B2BREAKTHROUGH" 2007 Pro-Comm Awards program is sponsored by the Chicago-based BMA. The nora program entry, "Growing a Greener Brand," was developed to help architects and interior designers select greener, more sustainable flooring solutions with high aesthetic value for commercial and institutional buildings. Godfrey helped align the nora brand with the natural environment, both visually and with key messages. The award-winning program included advertising, direct mail, public relations, e-mail newsletters and other cross-media techniques. "The Pro-Comm Awards are the most prestigious awards in business-to-business marketing, and this is the top award for the type of integrated program in which we specialize," said Curt Hitchcock, a Godfrey executive vice president and senior account manager for the nora rubber flooring program. "More importantly, the campaign has generated a tremendous amount of interest in nora rubber flooring products under the positioning of Inspired Design, Exceptional Performance." Freudenberg Building Systems, Inc., manufacturer of nora rubber flooring, is part of a diversified, German corporation. North American management began investing in integrated marketing communications about five years ago to create brand awareness and generate interest in specific flooring solutions within the architectural and design community. "We are seeing the results of our marketing effort in year-over-year increases in sales and market share," said Dennis Schmick, president of Freudenberg Building Systems, North America. "It's gratifying to have BMA's validation of our marketing communications strategy and execution, and it's been a terrific collaboration with the Godfrey Advertising team." The Pro-Comm award winners were officially announced at the BMA Annual Conference, June 12-15 in Las Vegas. "The 32nd year of this program has been, as our theme indicates, a breakthrough event. We attracted a wide range of excellent brands and agencies whose work was as innovative as it was engaging, creating a highly competitive and stimulating recognition event," said John Favalo, chairman of the BMA. Godfrey is a full-service, integrated business-to-business communications company. The agency offers research, strategic consulting, change communications management, brand management, advertising, public relations, interactive media and e-business solutions, lead management, measurement and the ability to implement cutting-edge technologies.
