It’s not hard to notice the holiday spirit flowing through the agency right now. Godfrey employees kicked off the winter community service season by gifting 33 bags of food – a whopping 627 pounds — to Water Street Rescue Mission as part of their Rescue Mission Food Drive, a three-mission initiative to benefit Lancaster’s Water Street Mission, Harrisburg’s Bethesda Mission and York’s Rescue Mission. Each year, these organizations serve nearly 500,000 meals to the hungry and homeless – all provided through donations.

Working both individually and in teams, Godfrey folks filled festive red and green grocery bags with nonperishables to be dropped off on December 18. As of December 20, the Rescue Mission Food Drive received 73,333 pounds of food from the community.
In the same week, employees tapped into their creative sides to design and color cards to be presented to patients at Lancaster General Hospital on Christmas Eve. Featuring cute critters and festive font, the holiday greetings are a great way to share Godfrey creativity with the Lancaster community – we can’t wait to send them!
