Godfrey news and information is available through RSS feeds, which use technology to deliver
headlines and summaries to your desktop or Web browser.
What is RSS?
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is technology that uses a web feed format to
publish frequently updated digital content such as news feeds, blogs, or podcasts.
RSS delivers this information in an XML file (a generic data format) called an RSS feed.
How does it work?
To receive RSS content, you must use a reader or aggregator program. (These reader
programs are free.)
You subscribe to a feed by supplying your reader a link to the RSS feed. The reader program
checks your list of subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content.
Whenever new content is available, it retrieves it and presents it to you.
Why subscribe to RSS Feeds?
RSS feeds bring content directly to you through an RSS reader. Because you don't have to
go to the content, you can stay up to date more easily. You can receive numerous RSS feeds
from various sources, allowing you to quickly review the latest news and content.
