The main objective was to boost morale and invoke pride within the company itself, with a secondary goal of raising brand awareness. We created a comprehensive celebration plan that spoke to the internal audience as well as the general public. Our internal content plan included posters, weekly news updates and a portfolio of employee newsletters throughout the company’s history. We used additional strategies to spread the word to the public.
We designed a special anniversary logo and hung banners throughout the community. Reusing metal from one of the company’s first paper machines, we created 4,500 commemorative medallions which were given to employees and key customers. Each one was pressed with the anniversary seal. And, to show everyone the full scope of the Glatfelter’s 150-year epic, we created a 45-minute film on the company’s history.
The film premiere, which was open to employees and community members alike, boasted a turnout of approximately 2,000 attendees. “Godfrey knows our business inside and out,” said Heath Frye, Marketing Manager. “The work they create for us – and this effort in particular – demonstrates that they’re an extension of our company.”
